I’m selling my 2015 Martin D28 Ambertone. It’s got a K&K mini pickup installed and I’ll throw in a custom Kat Eyz capo as well (these retail for $100). I’ve played a lot of gigs with this guitar so it’s not in mint condition, but it’s in good overall shape.

When I sent it back to change to the larger thumbscrew, Phil checked out my photos and made me a new capo with a smaller frame (less deep frame....& shorter screw) .....& it also fits my '54 J-50 with a classic ... The Kat Eyz has a 1/4" screw which makes it quicker to spin up AND limits the amount of pressure immediately applied. I do make and offer a 3/8" knurled thumbscrew but it does bring with it a little caution …If you own a Kat Eyz capo, please let me know whether you like and how it stacks up against your other capos. But the thing I like about the Collins vs Elliot Elite is the smoothness of the thumb screw motion. Coincidentally, or not, that is also the quantitative order in which I own capos by those makers. I could easily recommend any of them. But it's not a particularly easy opening type of clamp, so if I can't find a way to comfortably leave it on, behind the nut, I'll likely just resort to using a G7th or one of my other "C" type side ... I use a 1993 McKinney/Tony Rice (predecessor to the Elliott) and a smaller profile Kat Eyz most of the time. They keep the strings in tune, are wonderful handcrafted mechanical machines, and look marvelous - I like the low-profile. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when my Kat Eyz Capo cross bar developed a serious wobble and the bar's radius had increased to the point that strings 3 & 4 would buzz. The nice thing about the Kat Eyz if you can get it custom sized to your guitar (same price), and I know some have had engravings, or whatever put on (probably a price).
